How to remove a 575 immobilizer box
The 575 immobilizer box is located on the firewall behind the passengers seat.
Move passengers seat to full forward position and lean forward. Then shut off power to car at disconnect switch in front.
Move carpet on the passengers side firewall aside. The carpet is held down by rubber weatherstrip, no screws or snaps. Remove the 4 -8mm nuts holding down the triangle plate pictured below.
Remove the 3 - 8mm nuts holding down the immobilizer box (the larger of the two boxes).
Disconnect the wiring harnesses and remove immobilizer. The center harness with the single wire is the antenna. You can send it with the box or hold onto it.
When you receive the immobilizer box back, reverse install making sure connections are seated firm, power up car at switch, wait 2-5 minutes for circuitry to stabilize. Proceed to normal start up of car.
